Shelter 48 Emergency Life-Support Design Challenge
Eleven Magazine is currently accepting submissions to its seventh international ideas and design competition: Shelter 48 Emergency Life-Support Design. This year’s challenge focuses on the definition and design of shelter in the immediate aftermath of natural disasters. Because most natural disaster-related deaths occur after the event itself, and specifically within the first 48 hours, Eleven’s competition challenges designers to create a life-support unit of shelter that can be deployed quickly and effectively in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. Standard registration is open until November 1, 2017, and winners will be announced on January 11, 2017. Click here to learn more and apply.
