Cradle to Cradle Product Design Challenge
The sixth Cradle to Cradle Product Design Challenge is now accepting applications through Friday, December 1, 2017. The Cradle to Cradle competition challenges designers to learn and apply critical strategies for envisioning products in the circular economy via Cradle to Cradle’s safe, perpetually cycled, waste-reducing materials. Those interested in the competition should register for an online course to learn principles, strategies, and real world examples for designing products for a circular, regenerative future, explore materials in the Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Product Registry, and then develop an innovative product and product system that incorporate regenerative principles and strategies and use safe materials that can be perpetually cycled. The program is presented by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute in partnership with Autodesk and is made possible by the Arconic Foundation. Prizes will be awarded for best overall design, best use of Cradle to Cradle certified materials, best use of Autodesk Fusion, and best use of aluminum. Winners will be announced in January of 2018.
