Dotte Agency is a community design collaboration between University of Kansas architecture professors Shannon Criss, Nils Gore, and Matt Kleinmann. It serves to reduce chronic disease by improving access to food and walkability through changes to the built environment in Wyandotte County, KS.
Dotte Agency is a multi-disciplinary design collaborative engaging neighborhoods to shape the built environment in order to improve public health. Our group gives agency to citizens through our creative processes. We make both conceptual and organizational, connections in the community by making problems tangible. And we promote design as a useful and important component in community problem-solving. We believe everyone has the right to live in a healthy environment, and that leveraging design thinking in adaptive problems can achieve better health outcomes for all.
